In Apple of My Sky, I was exploring the meeting place between the familiar and the expansive. The apple, rich with color and presence, felt grounded and intimate, while the billowing sky behind it opened the piece into something more dreamlike and spacious. Through this painting, I wanted to express wonder, fullness, and the way even an ordinary object can feel luminous when seen with affection and imagination.
